Community Policing Plan for the San Fransisco Police Department

Several key components of a successful Community Policing plan and training include:

  1. The police agency’s written description of and commitment to Community Policing, including expressed values of the agency;
  2. Municipal department officials (e.g., public works, parks/recreation, social services);
  3. Beat officers, detectives, records personnel, dispatchers, office staff, supervisors, staff officers; and,
  4. Stakeholders in a community (residents—rich and poor, business groups, civic groups, minority groups, school officials, and youth).
